How It Started: March 2025
Early in 2025, I felt a massive pushback against AI voice technology. People were skeptical, frustrated, and often angry. I decided that instead of fighting the sentiment, I'd give people a place to vent.
I built NY Butch. I gave him the persona of a retired New York City cab driver who now works as a bartender. He's a little rough around the edges but ultimately kind, because he's prompted to match the caller's behavior—if you're cool with him, he's cool with you.
My thought was simple: if a caller could have a laugh with a machine, maybe they'd walk away thinking "AI ain't all bad." That discovery shaped every agent we've created since. We became destined to build "The Good AI."

Fast forward to 2026. The anti-AI sentiment is greater than ever. We're seeing "No Data Center" laws being passed and local officials trying to halt progress, even as everyone uses the tech daily.
Call me a hypocrite, but I too have issues with AI—and it's my bread and butter.
I worry about the pollution, the strain on our electrical grid, and the drain on civic resources. I worry about how easy it is to clone voices and manipulate reality. The truth is, this technology is so new that where it ultimately takes us is still to be seen.
I just know that it's not going away. It has the potential for incredible good, but we have to be honest about the risks. This page is my way of keeping it real.
